Our big trip to Patagonia is approaching fast, but we want to get one more camping adventure in before we go. Luckily some of our Airstream friends- the ones with the shiny Caravel- invite us to a party at their house down in Georgia. So we made reservations at Shady Grove Campground– a nice place right on the lake, but we probably got the worst campsite there- kind of in a ditch, with no real way to pull out our awning. On our way down we stopped and visited some friends over a beer at one of our favorite breweries- Hillman Brewery in Old Fort, NC. The off to Canton NC for an overnight stay at the amazing Loarlei Inn– they are an event venue on top of a mountain with beautiful views all around- and luckily for us, also a Harvest Host!
Ultimately the party had to be cancelled but we still got to spend a wonderful evening and dinner with out friends- and regrettably didn’t get a single photo of all of us together, or of their beautiful camper setup at their house.
