Whenever Melinda asks where I want to go for my birthday getaway, my stock answer is always “south.” When you’re born in the cold, dark month of February it seems you crave sunshine and light. Or at least I do! So we went down to Beaufort South Carolina– not to be confused with the town in North Carolina that has the same name but is pronounced completely differently.
We spent 4 nights at a Hipcamp there- no longer in business, so I can’t recommend it. But there are lots of cool places to stay and visit!
Hunting Island State Park & Lighthouse- we love climbing lighthouses!
The Kazoobie Kazoo Museum- You must to go here. We now play versions of our favorite songs and try to guess what it is. Karma Chamelon on a kazoo is splendid!
